Postcards From My Pocket: A Weekend in Rome

Last month, I went to Rome for a weekend. It was my first time in Italy, and I loved it! I travelled by plane. The flight was okay, a little bit long, but I watched a film. When I arrived, I took a bus to my hotel. The hotel was small but clean, and it was near the city centre.

On Saturday, I visited the Colosseum. It was amazing! I learned a lot about Roman history. After that, I walked to the Roman Forum and took lots of pictures. In the evening, I ate pizza at a restaurant. The pizza was delicious! It was the best pizza I have ever eaten.

On Sunday, I went to Vatican City. I saw St. Peter's Basilica. It was very big and beautiful. Then, I walked around the city and bought some souvenirs. I bought a postcard for my mum.

The weather was sunny and warm. I walked a lot, so I was tired at the end of each day, but I had a great time. I want to go back to Rome again someday. I would recommend it to anyone who likes history and good food!
