Last summer, I went on a trip to a beautiful island. It was my first time travelling alone, and I was a little nervous, but very excited. I flew from London to a small airport near the coast. The flight was long, but I watched some movies and read a book.

When I arrived, the sun was shining, and the air smelled of flowers. I took a bus to my hotel. It was near the beach, so I could hear the waves from my room. The hotel was small and friendly. The people who worked there were very nice and helpful.

Every day, I went swimming in the sea and sunbathed on the beach. I also visited some interesting places. I saw an old castle and a colourful market. I tried some local food; it was delicious! I especially liked the fresh fish.

I met some other travellers. We talked about our countries and our adventures. I learned a lot about different cultures. I bought some souvenirs for my family and friends.

My trip was fantastic! I made great memories and I want to go back again next year. I think everyone should travel if they can. It’s a good way to learn about the world and yourself.
