Postcards from Paradise (and Parking Lots)

Lots of people like to travel. It’s fun to see new places and do different things. Last summer, my family went to Italy. We planned the trip for months. We bought tickets and booked hotels. I was very excited!

First, we visited Rome. We saw the Colosseum and the Trevi Fountain. It was very crowded! We took lots of photos. The weather was hot, so we ate a lot of gelato. Then, we travelled to Florence. Florence is famous for its art. We visited a museum and saw amazing paintings. I liked the Duomo the best; it was so big!

However, not everything was perfect. Sometimes, the trains were late. And the parking in Florence was a nightmare! We drove around for an hour to find a space. Also, my little brother got sick and had to stay in the hotel for a day.

Even with the problems, it was a great trip. I learned a lot about Italian culture. I also learned that even paradise has parking lots! I want to travel again next year. Maybe we will go to Spain. I need to start saving money now.
