Passport to Pizza: Exploring Italy!

Going on holiday is great! Last summer, I went to Italy with my family. We wanted to see famous places and eat delicious food. Italy is a beautiful country with lots of history.

First, we visited Rome. We saw the Colosseum, where gladiators fought a long time ago. It was very big and impressive! We also visited the Vatican City and saw St. Peter's Basilica. It was amazing. We walked a lot and ate gelato every day. Gelato is Italian ice cream, and it's very yummy.

Next, we took a train to Florence. Florence is famous for its art. We went to a museum and saw paintings by famous artists. We also walked across the Ponte Vecchio, a very old bridge with shops on it. We bought some souvenirs for our friends.

Finally, we went to Venice. Venice is a city with canals instead of streets! We took a gondola ride, which was very romantic. We saw beautiful buildings and bridges. We ate pizza and pasta every day. The food in Italy is fantastic!

I learned a lot about Italian culture and history. I also improved my Italian a little bit. I want to go back to Italy someday and explore more of the country. It was the best holiday ever!
